Thompson Architecture designed the renovations to the historic 15 story Redmont hotel, located in downtown Birmingham. The lobby and mezzanine were completely gutted and renovated, recapturing high ceilings and grandeur lost in previous years. The first floor also includes a restaurant, bar, and breakfast café.
All of the guest rooms were refurbished, with the bathrooms totally renovated and modernized. We also designed a rooftop bar with a chic aesthetic and panoramic views of the city.
The building also was updated to current building codes for high-rise construction, with new sprinkler system, fire alarm system, and updated elevator lobbies.
The renovation was completed in 2016.
